General Members

Definition

A General Member is any student, graduate, teacher, researcher, professional, practitioner, or individual interested in academic development, research, professional career development, knowledge sharing, and CAPCDR activities.

General Membership serves as the broadest entry point into the CAPCDR academic community and is designed particularly to encourage students, young researchers, early-career professionals, and individuals seeking greater exposure to academic and professional development opportunities.

Benefits and Privileges

General Members may:

  • Receive information about CAPCDR academic and professional activities.
  • Participate in eligible conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops, training programs, competitions, and networking activities.
  • Submit research papers, abstracts, posters, proposals, or other academic contributions to appropriate CAPCDR programs subject to the applicable academic requirements.
  • Access publicly available academic resources and opportunities provided through CAPCDR.
  • Develop connections with researchers, teachers, professionals, and other members of the CAPCDR community.
  • Participate in volunteer activities, student initiatives, academic competitions, and suitable research-support activities.
  • Develop academic and professional skills through CAPCDR programs.
  • Apply or become eligible for Associate Membership as their academic qualifications, experience, and contributions develop.

Access → Learning → Participation → Skill Development → Academic Contribution → Associate Membership

General Members are encouraged to participate actively in CAPCDR activities and progressively develop their research, communication, professional, and leadership capabilities.

General Members are expected to:

  • Maintain appropriate conduct during CAPCDR activities.
  • Provide accurate information during registration or participation.
  • Follow academic integrity and ethical standards.
  • Respect intellectual property, authorship, confidentiality, and research ethics.
  • Use CAPCDR resources and opportunities responsibly.
